The Face of Educational Coaching

Kristin Carpenter
Linder Educational Coaching

“We help students of almost any age manage executive functioning issues, learning disabilities and attention disorders,” says Kristin Carpenter. “We get students to identify what is holding them back from their goals and then provide the supports needed for them to succeed.”

Carpenter launched the concept of educational coaching in the area in 2008. She also began The Hub, the first after-school executive functioning support program. Her firm works with referrals from parents, local doctors and various schools. “I’m more interested in helping students find solutions than just giving them answers,” she says. “The goal is often better grades, but we also want to help them become well rounded and confident. It’s more important to be a good person than a good student.”
