“Our motto is, You name it, we frame it,” says Jimmy Hakimi—who, along with his brother, Kenny, runs the 6,000-square-foot shop on Lee Highway that their father opened 28 years ago. (They also have a satellite storefront on West Broad Street in Falls Church.) “We’ve framed military uniforms, fishing poles—even a surfboard.” Inside the Arlington store is a towering display of frame and mat samples, glass choices and art for sale. Not only can the shop handle projects of all types and sizes—including photo and film digitizing, photo enlargement, photo restoration and laser engraving—it can often turn a job around in 24 hours. It helps that the seasoned staff includes some employees who have been with the company for decades. Says Hakimi: “Everyone here gets treated like family.”
