It’s a food we crave like no other, and a wide smile will inevitably cross your face when you enter Enzo Algarme and Anastasiya Laufenberg’s homey little storefront in Bluemont. The spectacle of its red-tiled, wood-fired oven tells you that soon you’ll be enjoying an authentic Neapolitan pie made in accordance with the strict rules that certify the pizzeria as Verace Pizza Napoletana—a designation recognized by the Italian government. (Try the white pizza topped with burrata, cherry tomatoes, pine nuts and fresh basil.) The hallmark of every pie here is the crust, dotted with leopard spots of char and with just the right amount of chew. The motto should be “No crust left behind.”
