What is the most significant change in real estate during your career?
In my career of over 17 years (and counting), I have seen tremendous changes in the industry. When I first started, the internet was not utilized as a resource for buyers or sellers in any capacity. When Redfin first came on the scene, a lot of agents did not think that it would last long, simply because the thought of “not needing a traditional agent” was beyond their realm of comprehension. We obviously see now that Redfin has stood the test of time. It’s a challenge to keep up with the ongoing changes, and it keeps me constantly innovating and on my toes. My clients benefit from that tremendously.
What are your interests outside of work?
I would be lying if I said my work and personal life don’t overlap, because they do. My husband and I do flip/renovation properties, and we absolutely love it. It benefits my clients as well because I have a keen knowledge of the costs (and pains!) associated with renovations.
How would your clients describe you?
My clients would describe me as a brutally honest and fierce advocate for them in every capacity. In this new age of real estate “teams,” I am still old fashioned and believe that the best service I can provide is being there for my clients when they need me, and ensuring that they never feel like they are being put on the back burner. Even three or four years after a client buys or sells, I keep in touch with them, either as a resource or as a friend. There is no other job on the planet that I could envision enjoying more than this one.
