What brings you the most satisfaction in your work?
Helping people is definitely the most fulfilling part of my job. Last year, I helped an extended family buy five homes. Four of those families were first-time homeowners. All five families had been longtime renters before becoming homeowners, and now they’re building equity and getting stronger financially.
I love this area because of how diverse it is. I’ve sold homes to people from all over the world who have come here to create better lives for themselves and their families. It feels great to support them as they pursue their dreams.
What is your professional and educational background?
I’m a lawyer. I came to Washington, D.C. in 1986 and graduated summa cum laude from American University Washington College of Law, where I met my wife. We got married, moved to Arlington and adopted two kids. I did public policy litigation and advocacy for 15 years after working in a large law firm and clerking for a federal judge. As an attorney, I sought to make a difference in the world on a macro level. Now I’m able to have an impact on a micro level, one-to-one with my clients.
What makes you different than other real estate agents?
Through high-quality representation, I win houses in competitive situations and help my clients strike the best deals. Whether they’re buying or selling a $300,000 home or a $3,000,000 home, my clients’ satisfaction is my top priority. I always take time to communicate with them so they’ll be comfortable and informed. I’m very proud of the many excellent reviews I’ve received, and I’m honored to be named one of Washingtonian’s Best D.C.-Area Realtors.
