Capital City Nurses
As we age and as families become geographically dispersed, the challenges of maintaining independence in one’s home can be numerous. Susan Rodgers anticipated many of those needs when she started Capital City Nurses over 40 years ago. Today, the company continues to meet those needs by providing unsurpassed care and support designed to keep families close, whether down the street or across the country.
A Registered Nurse, Rodgers realized early on that great care isn’t simply making sure a client gets his medications on time. She identified how important it is to make personal connections with clients and families, to match caregivers to their charges, and to make sure that clients are truly engaged, fulfilled and enjoying life.
Today, Susan’s son, Brian Rodgers, continues the Capital City Nurses vision, seeking out only the best caregivers. “We hire people who we’d want caring for our own moms and dads,” Brian notes. He’s also developed CCN’s Caregiver Academy, an innovative program that emphasizes the engagement between nurses and clients by creating dialog, the sharing of experiences, and finding unique ways to create stronger interactions and relationships.
Meanwhile, Susan has taken the lead in CCN’s Cottage concept, which provides upscale supported living for seniors seeking to maintain a traditional home-like environment. Their dedicated support team is always available to help families arrange and manage the very best care.
Homecare is a uniquely personal enterprise, and it’s fitting that Capital City Nurses continues to excel under the leadership of a family which truly knows the industry from “in house.” For peace of mind and independence, Capital City Nursing is your family’s smart choice.
