Jason J. Howell, CFP® and Doug Tees, MBA
Why should local families work with you?
We specialize in serving young families in part because we have young families, too. Our wives are also working professionals so we have a good pulse on the challenges facing dual-income families with young kids. You may recognize the name Jason Howell from 2012 when I ran as an independent candidate for Virginia’s 8th Congressional District. In 2013, I “graduated” from Arlington’s civic leadership development program, Arlington Neighborhood College. I also attend worship services and volunteer at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington. Doug Tees, our COO and Partner, has been a board member volunteer of Langley Residential Support Services in Mclean since 2011 and is a 2011 graduate of Leadership Fairfax.
Our prospective clients are looking for a relationship with an independent firm that will treat them like family.
What are the advantages of working with a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional?
Working with financial planners who carry the CFP® marks should give you assurance that they have met minimum standards of education, examination, experience and ethics to serve your family. Only about 25 percent of financial planners carry the marks. At our firm, I have earned my CFP® marks and Doug is working through the requirements. Beyond the marks, another advantage we have is that Doug is an MBA and Six Sigma Green Belt; he’s a perfect partner for families who are looking beyond maintaining and wish to grow their wealth.
We bring the joy of financial planning to our clients. They no longer have to worry whether they’re doing OK or if they’re on the right track—they are. Keeping up with new tax laws, creating a budget, monitoring the markets and planning for retirement can be a full-time job. Luckily for our clients, it just happens to be our full-time job.
