After paying their dues in the real estate development and architecture industries, brothers George and Steve DeFalco established Tradition Homes, a residential builder focusing on meeting homeowners’ needs, building attractive designs with quality materials while respecting every neighborhood’s architectural integrity.
Tradition Homes’ clients can have a home designed from scratch, or choose from one of Tradition’s popular models and have it personalized to suit their tastes. The firm also maintains an inventory of “off market lots,” allowing clients to easily and efficiently find the perfect location for their new home.
Tradition’s award-winning designer helps all of their clients through the design and selection process. “She has a wonderful eye for our clients’ vision and can guide people through a not-so-easy path with passion and skill,” says Steve DeFalco. Tradition’s in-house architects also are able to make design changes and communicate with their clients in real time.
The building industry is ever-changing and Tradition makes full use of the latest available technologies. “We use a program called Buildertrend, where our project managers can provide daily updates, including photos for each home,” says DeFalco. “Our clients can access that information, as well as real time scheduling updates.”
This geographic area presents significant challenges for builders, most notably acquiring land. “Demand is through the roof for buildable lots, and most ‘teardowns’ are being sold off the market to the highest bidder,” says DeFalco. “We have an aggressive program of letter campaigns, word of mouth and client referral—we are always looking for new land!”
But overcoming challenges is what Tradition Homes is all about. “While custom home building certainly requires a fair bit of hard work, we love seeing our clients’ ideas come to life and how happy they are in their new homes,” says DeFalco.
