What makes TriVistaUSA stand out from the pack?
There are many excellent design/build firms in our area. Many of those firms are owned and run by our friends. We are part of a wonderful community of local, impassioned builders. But as far as I know, we are the only firm whose owners started in the arts, not in the trades. Our solutions tend to come from that perspective. We see every project as an artistic opportunity. Consequently, every project is unique—we don’t do cookie cutter. We love delighting our clients with the uncommon, custom-crafted solution that fits their vision. Our clients appreciate this singular approach. We often hear, “we never thought about [that thing you designed and built] as a solution, and now it’s the thing we love MOST about our house!” We even have a client who has used us for eight separate projects in their home. That’s a TriVistaUSA record!
What unique challenges are inherent to remodeling homes in Arlington?
For one, the scale of our work has grown. In the beginning, our projects were small and scrappy. Now, we are given much larger and more complex opportunities to create entire new spaces for clients. But while the scope may have changed, what remains constant is the artistic approach we bring to everything we build, big or small. Another challenge is the quirky nature of Arlington itself. The housing stock here is ideally situated close to D.C. businesses, in wonderful family-friendly neighborhoods. But it’s old, crooked and often falling apart. Expanding and fixing these existing spaces, on a budget and in compliance with zoning, is a challenge seldom seen elsewhere in the country. We love nothing more than making these unusual spaces better and making them beautiful!
