The Best Pizza in Town
Here are 11 places to try. Now tell us who we left out.
This little homegrown pizzeria—a spinoff of the long-standing white-tablecloth Assaggi Osteria next door—opened in April and received almost instant acclaim for its perfectly charred wood-fired pies that taste like they’re straight out of Napoli. The place has cred. The 800-degree brick oven is manned by pizzaiolo Luis “Necco” Lopez, who previously cooked at 2Amys in D.C. Try the Funghi Misti (cremini mushrooms, fontina cheese, Grana Padano, basil pesto), or the Frutti di Mare, topped with clams, shrimp, calamari and sun-dried tomato.
