You can still pack up the family for a quick getaway this summer. These resorts and hotels are playing it safe.
Ritz Movie

Private movies at the Ritz-Carlton

The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner

The Ritz-Carlton, connected to Tysons Galleria, has launched a mini-movie screening package with plenty of family-friendly options, including popular animated and superhero flicks. The deal gives you access to a private room in the hotel, complete with theater snacks such as popcorn, candy and drinks, plus comfy seating and a giant projection screen for your film of choice. The package includes accommodations for the entire family, parking and some special movie perks. The chain’s famed Ritz-Kids program is on hold due to Covid-19, but guests will have access to the hotel’s newly refurbished indoor pool and giant hot tub. Sign-ups are required for 90-minute swim spots.  //1700 Tysons Blvd., McLean

Hyatt Mosaic

Hyatt House Mosaic District

Hyatt House Falls Church/Merrifield

The Hyatt House in the Mosaic District boasts suite-style rooms and low rates that include parking, wireless internet and breakfast (use code 32778 for the lowest rates).  Hyatt has appointed a well-being liaison at each of its locations to ensure guests and staff are masked up and socially distanced, surfaces are constantly cleaned and hand sanitizer stations are plentiful. Dogs are welcome—up to two per room. The pool and fountains remain closed, but the Mosaic District has set up tables, comfy seating and games along Strawberry Lane, and nearby restaurants are open, with outdoor seating. //8296 Glass Alley, Fairfax (Mosaic District)

Hilton Tysons

Hilton McLean Tysons Corner

The Hilton McLean Tysons Corner is often used as a testing ground for new technology across the brand, which is headquartered next door.  Worried about cleanliness? This location is taking part in the Hilton CleanStay program, created in collaboration with Lysol maker RB and the Mayo Clinic, so guest rooms will have a housekeeping room seal and light switches, door handles, TV remotes and other high-touch items will get extra cleaning. Disinfecting wipes also are provided in every guest room. Not quite ready to go back to the gym? You can test out 11 different fitness equipment and accessory options in your room with Hilton’s Five Feet to Fitness program.   There are plans to reopen the Junior Olympic-size indoor pool in August. The restaurant is still closed, but the hotel’s Pantry Market offers easy grab-and-go options, and Tysons Corner Center is a short walk away. //7920 Jones Branch Dr. McLean
