12 Can’t-Miss Food and Drink Events in October
Wine and storytelling at 2941, Halloween yoga at New District Brewing and more.
On Oct. 21 from 10-11 a.m., join Gold’s Gym for a “military-style boot camp workout” on the Greek restaurant’s Ballston patio, followed by all-you-can eat waffles. Tickets are $30; bring your own mat, towel and water.
A fall harvest celebration on Oct. 27 from 8 a.m. to noon encourages kids to paint pumpkins, play fall harvest Bingo and show off costumes. Local chefs will offer demonstrations of healthy cooking.
Why not close out the month with Halloween-themed yoga? The Shirlington brewery offers a little “boo” with your Namaste by hosting an all-levels “Spooksana” vinyasa yoga class on Oct. 28 at 10:30 a.m. with an extra spooky soundtrack. Drinks to follow. A $15 ticket pays for the class and a pint of craft beer. There’s a costume competition, too, with prizes.
