9 Can’t-Miss Food, Beer and Wine Events in September
A whiskey dinner, oyster festival, wine tastings and more
Sip wine and nibble cheese from Arrowine and Cheese, sample heavy hors d’oeuvres from Lebanese Taverna, Allspice Café, Mezeh and more at the National Rural Electric Cooperative building from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 19, all for a good cause – raising money for Arlington Thrive. The nonprofit provides same-day emergency financial assistance to county residents in the midst of sudden financial crises brought on by accidents or illness. Tickets for the event are $75.
We’ll skip the downward dog jokes and just say that the beloved Columbia Pike restaurant is offering yoga classes at 6 and 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19, a post-yoga beer or other beverage, and an array of snacks. Tickets are $20; bring your own mat.
You’ve tried wine pairings; how about whiskey pairings? A four-course Dalmore single malt scotch whiskey dinner is on tap for 7 p.m. Sept. 22. The menu includes smoked salmon pastrami and coffee-crusted lamb chops, and there will be a guest speaker from E&J Gallo Winery. Tickets are $125.
