At Bakeshop in Clarendon (1025 N. Fillmore St, Arlington) you can order a classic pumpkin pie throughout the year. Owner Justin Stegall’s personal recipe features the bakery’s signature all-butter crust – no shortening here – and plenty of spice. But you can only get the ultra-rich bourbon-chocolate-pecan pie (made with Belgian chocolate) via advance order during the holidays. When the team took that pie off the holiday menu last year, they got so many requests for it that they brought it back for 2018.
