Are you careful about what you put on your face? Looking for a moisturizer that’s customized to your age and skin type, with ingredients you can pronounce? Take a class with clean beauty entrepreneur Elodie Cally and learn how to make your own. A Paris native with a French diploma in cosmetic formulation and green chemistry, Cally hosts hands-on workshops for kids and adults, guiding participants in creating fruit scrubs, lip balms, face creams and soaps that won’t harm their skin or the planet. “French regulations demand that anything you put on your lips has to be edible,” she says, “so we use fruit extracts like apricot and blackberry. For those with sensitive skin, we can do fragrance free.” Her Arlington-based company, Elodie’s Naturals, also offers skincare products for purchase, including a bestselling collection of cleansers, serums and lotions made with antioxidant plum oil. –Jenny Sullivan
