This five-person band started back when its original members had daughters in Scouts at Arlington Science Focus Elementary School. “The first time we played out was at a school fundraising event,” says frontman Sean Schmergel. Since then, they’ve performed at bars and corporate events. They played “Rocketman” in front of the space shuttle Discovery. Members Schmergel (lead vocals), Stuart Ridgway (keyboard and vocals), Subir Puri (bass), Andy Shuckra (guitar) and Jeff Watts (drums) all have day jobs, but they’ve also spent decades honing their craft, perfecting covers of AC/DC, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi and other fan favorites. “We really pump it up,” Schmergel says. –Madelyn Rosenberg
