Dr. Adam D. Goldstein earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and completed his residency at the VA Hospital in Washington, D.C. He offers comprehensive general and cosmetic dentistry with a focus on thoughtful, personalized care and long-term patient relationships.
Q: What shapes your approach to patient care?
A: A lot of what I bring to dentistry comes from coaching my kids’ sports teams. I love helping kids build confidence, stay disciplined and work together. I approach patients the same way—making sure they feel comfortable, informed and supported throughout their care.
Patience is a big part of that, especially with anxious patients or people who haven’t had great past experiences. I try to be a calm, steady presence and build real trust. At the end of the day, I want my office to feel like a place where people feel at ease and where they know they’re being listened to and genuinely cared for.
Q: What makes you different than other dentists?
A: Patients often tell me it’s my chairside manner. I take the time to explain what I’m doing, answer questions and make sure people feel comfortable. I also offer Botox for patients dealing with jaw pain or TMJ.
I’m deeply committed to continuing education and staying current with advances in dentistry. I’m active in two local dental study clubs and lead one of them, collaborating regularly with other dentists in the D.C. area to continue learning and refining my approach to patient care.
Q: What inspired you to become a dentist?
A: My father was a dentist, which inspired me early on. I was drawn to the combination of hands-on work, problem-solving and the opportunity to help people feel better and more confident. It’s something I still feel grateful to be doing every day.
