How has your personal background prepared you for a career in real estate?
My childhood began in Las Vegas. We moved to South Africa and ended up in a small town in southern Arkansas, which prepared me for understanding the complex emotions involved in moving and helped me become a sponge for learning and thriving in drastically different cultures. The diversity of my friends, food and client base is all an amazing dividend of this unique path as a child.
For the past 17 years, I have been a happy Arlington resident and homeowner, driving the streets, trying to learn the method to the madness of the street names, exploring the parks with my kids and dog, and hiking the trails along the Potomac whenever possible. I am blown away by the beauty of this area, and I am an enthusiastic ambassador for living in northern Virginia.
What brings you the most satisfaction in the work you do?
What I find most rewarding is the relationships I form. Real estate is so much more than a business proposition. I know how fundamental “where you live” is to your entire life—neighbors, schools, commutes. I work closely with my clients to understand their real estate needs, and their goals become my goals. In my 14 years as a Northern Virginia Realtor® I’ve learned the ins and outs of this business, made reliable contacts with vendors, built strong relationships with my colleagues, and mastered the art of negotiation, closing over 300 transactions. I’ll navigate the complexities of the northern Virginia real estate market for you with a healthy dose of reality and a sharp sense of humor, while helping you fulfill your dreams. The end result is almost always friendship that lasts beyond the transaction. I love this business!
