The Falls Church restaurant has added a small line of gourmet groceries to its takeout menus, including seasonal vegetables (think ramps and asparagus), fresh herbs, meats (duck breast, bone-in prime rib), as well as prepared foods such as sorbet and fresh spaghetti. Add them to any order for pick up six days a week. // 2941 Fairview Park Drive, Falls Church
Michael Schlow’s Mosaic District location has added five different grocery bundles to its to-go offerings, ranging from a $25 basic pantry box to a $150 bundle with an array of meats, produce, fruit and dairy items, plus staples like toilet paper, flour and rice. The boxes can be ordered for next-day pick up on their own, or alongside Alta Strada’s family meals or a la carte menus. //2911 District Ave #150, Fairfax (Mosaic District)
Neighborhood Restaurant Group (NRG)—whose properties include Rustico in Ballston, Red Apron Butcher in Mosaic, Buzz Bakery in Arlington and Planet Wine in Del Ray, among many others in the D.C. area—has created a marketplace to serve Arlington county, parts of Fairfax and other sections of the DMV. The Neighborhood Provisions menu varies by location, but includes chef-prepared meals, sweets and drinks, pantry and grocery items, and fresh meats. NRG is employing its staff to make deliveries and is offering pick-up at both of its Rustico locations.
