Kids feel empowered when they have choices, and the fast-casual meals at this tasty Mediterranean chain are customizable, with plenty of vegetables that — if need be — can be hidden inside a pita or strategically buried under colorful sauces and healthy dips and rice. Non-alcoholic drinks such as thyme limeade and pineapple-apple-mint juice are a nice departure from the usual soft drinks. Fast service and window seats looking out onto Strawberry Park make the Mosaic District location a great stop for an early dinner. Two more locations in Rosslyn and Ballston are set to open in 2018.
