19 Most Popular Colleges for Arlington’s Class of 2019
These schools received the most applications from APS seniors last year.
As college application season hits the homestretch, we’re taking a look back at the colleges and universities that received the most applications from Arlington’s Class of 2019. Not surprisingly, in-state schools were the most sought after, although a handful of out-of-state schools also topped Arlington students’ wish lists. The application data, provided by students from H-B Woodlawn Secondary Program, Washington-Liberty High School, Yorktown High School and Wakefield High School, were drawn from our annual College Bound admissions chart, which ran in the Sept./Oct. 2019 issue of Arlington Magazine. Tuition and enrollment data are from U.S. News and World Report‘s annual Best Colleges rankings.
Ranked #29 on U.S. News & World Report’s rundown of the Best National Universities and tucked into Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, NYU is the ultimate urban campus. NYU students come from nearly every state and 133 countries, according to the university’s website, and the school sends more students to study abroad than any other American university. Tuition is $53,308 and enrollment is 26,733.
