Listen to the Netherlands Carillon
A gift from the Dutch people to America in appreciation for aid during and after World War II, the carillon — a steel tower with 50 bells — is a 10- to 15-minute walk from the Rosslyn or Arlington National Cemetery Metro stations. Pack a thermos or two of hot chocolate and head over for an automated concert, which happens every day at noon and 6 p.m. The grounds offer sweeping views of Washington.
