Arlington Farmers Market

Now in its 39th year, the year-round market at Courthouse is one of the largest and oldest farmers markets in Virginia, says Cynthia Singiser, Virginia program manager for Community Foodworks, a nonprofit organization that operates markets in the District and Virginia. The Courthouse market runs from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

Location: Intersection of N. Courthouse Road and N. 14th St., Arlington

New this year: Among several first-time market vendors are Dmitri Olive Oil of Baltimore, which grows, harvests, bottles and distributes extra-virgin olive oil; Rise Bakery of the District, offering gluten-free breads and pastries; and Senzu Juicery, which sells cold-pressed juices.
