Tysons is loading up on immersive experiences for all ages that challenge on social, physical and mental levels. See how you’d fare as a game show contestant, work out escape strategies and experience chocolatey fun at these new indoor activities. Also, keep an eye on the renovation of AMC Theatres at Tysons Corner Center. When all is said and done later this year, it will have 4DX, which features motion seating with more than 21 environmental effects, such as wind, water and vibration.

Hershey Super Sweet Adventure
Opening April 24—but currently playable in preview mode—this family-friendly immersive experience brings a whimsical workshop full of games and multi-sensory activities to Tysons Corner Center. Themed activities center on iconic candies such as Hershey’s Kisses, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Jolly Ranchers and Twizzlers. Get your sugar fix at the end by making your own milk chocolate bar. 1961 Chain Bridge Road, Tysons
Game Show Battle Rooms
This interactive venue, which opened March 27, offers live-hosted, TV-style game show experiences for groups. Face off against family, friends or coworkers in your choice of game show experiences—classic or primetime—each of which includes three games. Both categories include Survey Battles. The classic experience also has Spin and Solve and What’s that Co$t segments, while the primetime features MatchUp Wars and Time Rush Games. The games can accommodate anywhere from 8 to 64 players. 1640 Boro Place, McLean (The Boro)

The Escape Game
This chain of immersive escape rooms opened its first Virginia location in Tysons in February. The idea is to “turn problem-solving into a full-on social sport,” according to a press release. Choose among six escape rooms with Hollywood themes. Each game lasts up to 60 minutes, and the venue accommodates up to 52 players at a time. 1961 Chain Bridge Road, Tysons (Tysons Corner Center)
