Bayou Bakery King Cake

Bayou Bakery Coffee Bar & Eatery

Chef David Guas’ New Orleans-inspired café is already a local go-to for chickory coffee, beignets, gumbo, pimiento cheese and Cajun-style Bloody Marys. Now, through Feb. 13, it’s also home of the B.B.King Cake, a brioche-style cake with Creole cream cheese filling, purple, green and gold sugar-flecked icing and cinnamon swirls. Each cake comes with tri-colored beads and a plastic king-cake baby. The kitchen is baking up a limited supply of cakes for walk-ins, but they go fast. To ensure that sugar buzz, place your order 48 hours in advance of pick up.
