This race was organized by the Tidal Basin Run Club and held on Sunday, July 14th. It was the fourth year for the marathon and the first year that a 50K was added. Michael Wardian set a new world best time for the 50K and several age group best times were also set.
There was a $100 cash prize offered to each of the male and female winners, $50 to second and third, plus a $100 bonus each to the male or female winner for a world best time.
