8. Oktoberfest at Tysons Biergarten
Get ready for more than a month of Oktoberfest events at Tysons Biergarten near the Greensboro station on Metro’s Silver Line. Weekend events commence Sept. 22 with the tapping (drum roll please) of a special Weihenstephaner Ceremonial keg imported from Germany, plus contests, food and more. On Sept. 30, the beer garden’s second annual “OktoberBreast” fundraiser (each $21 ticket supports cancer research via the Willow Foundation) includes food, brews, a DJ, dancing and raffle prizes. Other events include a beer, wine and cider festival on Oct. 13, and, on Oct. 20, an Oktoberfest evening finale with live music, outdoor games, face painting, food trucks and a moon bounce.
