Pi Day runs circles around other math-related celebrations. A nationally recognized day ever since the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution in 2009 making it so, March 14 celebrates the mathematical constant π, a never-ending number that starts with 3.14. In math, pi represents the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. Pi Day is also a great excuse to eat pie in both pizza and dessert form. Find specials both sweet and savory, whole and by the slice, at these local bakeries and restaurants.
