Comedian Alonzo Bodden routinely appears on NPR’s Wait, Wait … Don’t Tell Me! and is a former winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing. He’s also got a pretty frank podcast on current events, Who’s Paying Attention? And if that’s not enough to draw you in, he’s way into motorcycles. Ages 21+. $27-$32.


BalletNova’s The Nutcracker

When: Nov. 30-Dec. 8

Where: Kenmore Middle School, 202 S. Carlin Springs Road, Falls Church

Yes, there are scores of Nutcracker performances in the area come Christmastime, but one of the best local productions each year features youth and teen dancers who train at BalletNova. Main performances are at Kenmore Middle School. Petite (45-minute) performances will be held at the dance school’s campus (3443 Carlin Springs Road, Falls Church) on Dec. 7-8. $15-$38.
