ABBA The Concert

Where: Filene Center at Wolf Trap, 1551 Trap Road, Vienna

When: Aug. 4, 8 p.m.

ABBA is the pop foursome that just won’t quit (no for real, they actually won’t quit, with a tour—albeit with avatars—and new music planned for later this year). Get your fix of “Dancing Queen” and “Take a Chance on Me” at this tribute concert. $30-$60.

National Night Out

Where: Crystal City Water Park, 1601 Crystal Drive, Arlington

When: Aug. 6, 6-9 p.m.

Take part in an annual, nationwide night of block parties and neighborhood events, designed to promote positive relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Gatherings are planned throughout Arlington, including Crystal City’s first such event, featuring food from The Stand and raffles at nearby restaurants and stores. Free.

The 9 Songwriter Series 10th Anniversary

Where: The Birchmere, 3701 Mount Vernon Ave., Alexandria

When: Aug. 9, 7:30 p.m.

About a decade ago, Arlington singer-songwriter Justin Trawick founded The 9, a concert series featuring a rotating cast of fellow singer-songwriters and performances throughout the area, as well as New York City and Philadelphia. Celebrate their 10th anniversary at The Birchmere. $20.

Sweat Crawl for a Cause
