1. Sugar Shack

For decadent doughnuts: As the name hints, Sugar Shack will satisfy even the most intense sugar cravings. At the Arlington location (a spin-off of the original based in Richmond) the line between breakfast and dessert is blurred, if not erased entirely, but who needs rules anyway? Head here for innovative doughnuts piled high with cookie crumbles, sugary cereals, crispy candy bars, coconut, candied bacon… should we go on? Fan favorites include Red Velvet, Caramel with Sea Salt, and an homage to Girl Scout cookies called “Tastes Like a Samoa.” Options vary by day, so check back often to experience the shop’s full spectrum of perfectly over-the-top flavors.
