Singer Joi Carter, a star of TV shows Ready to Love and Love & Marriage DC, will perform May 10 at noon and 2 p.m., with Erana Taylor, also of Love & Marriage DC, hosting. The menu includes a “Momlet” Station, where guests can build their own omelets, a salad station, a carving station with prime rib, and assorted desserts. Celebrate Mom all weekend long with a $100 per person prix fixe menu. The five-course lineup includes a beet micro flower salad with plum and yuzu oils, kiuri wakame salad with pickled cucumber and sesame, and lobster tartare with caviar. Give Mother’s Day brunch a Thai twist. The whole family can enjoy the Mother’s Day Celebration at this restaurant and brewery at the Mosaic District. From 10 a.m.-3 p.m., littles can jump around in a bounce house, croon with singing princesses (from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.), get their faces painted, build their own bouquet (presumably for Mom) and make cards (also for Mom). This Mosaic District eatery has two options, available May 10, 4-9 p.m. One is a three-course dinner ($48) that starts with a choice of dip, such as hummus or tzatziki; mezze such as falafel and grape leaves; and entrées like lamb chops and surf and turf. Cap it off with baklava, rice pudding or Dubai cake. Another option is NAJA’s Table ($55), the restaurant’s signature family-style feast.
