Madeline’s Christmas

Where: Creative Cauldron, 410 S. Maple Ave., Falls Church

Madeline, the adorable French misfit from the midcentury book series, has a Christmastime adventure in this musical, returning to Creative Cauldron after sold-out shows in 2014 and 2017. Tickets $16-$30.

CSI: Christmas Scene Investigators

When: Dec. 6-15

Where: Gunston Arts Center, Theatre Two, 2700 S. Lang St., Arlington

Encore Stage & Studio’s play within a play visits a rehearsal for a Christmas show in which Santa Claus suddenly goes missing. Find out how the cast and some special helpers aim to get him back. Recommended for ages 4 and up. Tickets $12-$15. 


2019 Jingle Bell 5K Run/Walk for Arthritis

When: Dec. 7, 9 a.m.

Where:  Pentagon Row, 1101 S. Joyce St., Arlington

Put on your most festive holiday running attire (with bells on, of course) and raise money for a good cause in this race organized by Road Runners Sports, benefiting the Arthritis Foundation. A post-race event at Sine Restaurant (1301 S. Joyce St. at Pentagon Row) will include complimentary brunch, jolly activities and crafts.  B.Y.O.S (Bring Your Own Sweater), wear it to race and then donate it afterward.
