Chef Matt Hill’s fresh take on the Southern “meat ’n’ three” concept is serving up all manners of barbecue and wood-fired meats and fish, plus tantalizing sides (think kimchi dirty rice, skillet cornbread, braised greens, and a mac ’n’ cheese recipe passed down from Hill’s grandma), plus breakfast biscuit sandwiches, lunch fare and a creative bar program orchestrated by business partner Todd Salvadore. Housed in a historic building that was once a chocolate factory, the Arlington Heights eatery has a large outdoor patio and a takeout counter. Opened Sept. 30. // 3411 Fifth Street S., Arlington
